Default domain not in the admin gui

I have created a domain alias with zmprov cd newdomain.com ....

the newdomain.com is working, but when I login into the gui admin console I cannot found it.
How can I make it to appear in the gui console?

    Does the alias work?

    Have you looked here?

I recommend being careful with domain aliasing. I have a large number of aliased domains and suffer overhead issues with regard to spam filtering. There is a blog out there that describes in detail the issues at hand ...
    I didn't bookmark it. *sorry*

We don't expose or provide configuration for alias domains in the ZCS Admin Console.

I have only one alias domain. This is a temporary situation. The goal is to have the new alias domain to be the master domain in a few monthes. What is the best thing to do in this case?
So, if I want do add a new maibox I cannot select the new alias domain, right?

If you follow the wiki and alias the domain, you will be able to create a mailbox in the "master" domain and that user@either.domain is valid. This is true aliasing of the domains.

So, you have foo.com and bar.com. Foo is the master. If you alias bar.com and you have a user joe. Joe@bar.com dumps into the joe@foo.com's inbox automagically. Any subsequent mail boxes will also be aliased. There really is no need for the aliases to appear in the admin GUI.

If you only have a single alias you will probably be fine. I wouldn't worry about transitioning from one to the other with regard to the domains. Just set up the alias and find another project.

    Hope this helped ...

Ok, but since we are not going to use the old domain anymore, if we delete it we'll have a more clean gui admin.
But if that is to complicated I'll try to convince the people here.

It's not that it's overly complicated, however; it may require some work. I don't believe that you will be able to simply swap the domain names. I'm pretty sure that when you want to make the cut over it will require you remove the alias. Then bring it up as a new domain. Next, migrate all of the mailboxes and such over before dropping the original domain. It's a matter of preference on the administrators part. I merely suggested that it is somewhat customary to retain an older domain alias for a period of time so that mail gets to its intended recipients. Were it me, I would leave both domains until I had several reasons to perform major maintenance on a production mail server; even if, that meant that I spend the $8 to keep the old domain.
