As a Administrator,
we normally will get user complain said that the Mail server not working.
1. May I know how can I troubleshoot what is the problem that make the mail server down?
2. How can I start back the server? Is it use the zmcontrol start...?

After 'zmcontrol start', 'zmcontrol status' may give a pointer at which log file you should examine more closely, if if starts cleanly again & you're out of ideas as to the cause of the issue start with:
/var/log/zimbra.log
/opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log
/opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd.out
/opt/zimbra/logger/db/data/hostname.err
