Using Zimbra 5.0.9 on RHEL4.
Zimbra has the ability to let you have data returned to the server in a variety of formats (see REST update » Zimbra :: Blog). RSS/atom are two of these formats. Unfortunately, when receiving the mail in RSS or atom formats only a portion of the message body appears.
Here is one RSS entry for example:
Subject:
[zenoss] omitted.for.security.com Slave Too Far Behind Master
Body:
Device: omitted.for.security.com Component: kr-3307:3307 Severity: Error Time: 2008/08/20 13:26:09.000 Message: snmp trap 1.3.6.1.4.1.24993.2.0.1 Event ...
We would like to receive the entire message body in the RSS feed. We have a good reason for this. My team receives tons of messages a day from cron jobs, system alerts, etc. These messages are currently being sent to all of us, thus we are wasting space by storing redundant copies of messages. We would like to just create an account for these messages and share the folder to those on my team so we can monitor the messages via RSS.
Also, the subject line links to http://www.zimbra.com. Is there a way to change this, also?
Shawn
