Default Java 399% CPU, Load 40

I've got an HP DL380 with dual 3.06 Xeons, 4gb RAM, and 4x 320GB Sata II in RAID 1+0. Zimbra was getting sluggish so I checked top to see what was slowing down. Low and behold a single instance of 'java' is slowing the works massively. This system is normally at 0.25 or so for load, not 40+. 99% CPU usage is not helping either.

    Code:
    top - 10:07:38 up 8 days, 13:45, 1 user, load average: 42.48, 40.69, 36.31
    Tasks: 138 total, 3 running, 135 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
    Cpu(s): 99.9% us, 0.1% sy, 0.0% ni, 0.0% id, 0.0% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
    Mem: 3831692k total, 3671200k used, 160492k free, 88560k buffers

What might be done to help here? I'd rather not restart as I am in the middle of a working day with 80 people logged in atm.

Hhm, looks like Hypertheading may be an issue. I don't beleive that the 3.06 Xeons were dual core yet, so the CPU0-4 I see must be the hyperthreaded CPU's. I don't remember seeing an option in the BIOS though or I'm sure I would have disabled it.

Any ideas on how to disable Hyperthreading on an HP DL 380 G3? =)

EDIT: restarting with zmcontrol start|stop fixed it for the moment, what needs to be done for the long term?
