/tmp filling up
I'm running ZCS 5.0.8 NE. Every 1-2 hours I'm receiving alerts that /tmp on my Zimbra server is filling up. Apparently the zmlogger instance of mysql is creating tmp files and they're being deleted while being written to. Take the third file in the following list:
mysqld 16882 zimbra 8u REG 253,3 0 57 /tmp/ibF3WLPT (deleted)
mysqld 16882 zimbra 12u REG 253,3 0 58 /tmp/ib1TSSA6 (deleted)
mysqld 16882 zimbra 37u REG 253,3 882638848 219 /tmp/MYFlJi86 (deleted)
Its ~882MB and growing at this point (even though it has been deleted). It will grow until /tmp reaches 100% (as shown in df) and then everything returns to normal.
This seems to occur when the logger database is running the following:
| 6 | zimbra | localhost | zimbra_logger | Query | 318 | Locked | insert into raw_logs(log_date, loghost, app, pid, msg, postfix_qid) values ('2008-08-06 12:40:39','l |
| 16 | zimbra | localhost | zimbra_logger | Query | 318 | Sorting result | select id from raw_logs where app='amavis' and id > '298726044' order by id asc
Can anyone give me some insight into this?
bump! someone has to know.
