Default How to permit SMTP Authentication from MTA Trusted Network

    Hi all,
After upgrading ZCS from 5.0.6 GA to 5.0.7 GA under SuSE 10.2 I cannot send email using Microsoft Outlook 2007 client because when my laptop is connected to my MTATrustedNetwork SMTP client does not accept autentication and asks me for username and password.

Disabling "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" flag from my Account Settings under Outlook will solve the problem when I'm connected to my trusted network BUT does not work when I'm connected directly to internet because in this case MTA asks for authentication for client sending email outside my trusted network and I must reflag outlook to work.

    I tried to set

    zmprov mcf zimbraMtaMyNetworks '127.0.0.0/8'

but other servers (linux machines and other) connected to my trusted network that normally use ZCS as mail relay stops working.

How can I force MTA to ignore client sending username/password from my trusted (mixed trusted network and client autentication mode)

    Thanks for any suggestion.

    Antonio

Anyone who authenticates against your server should be able to send email. What errors are you seeing in the log files. Please update your forum profile with the output of 'zmcontrol -v'.

That wasn't what I asked, what errors do you see in the log files?
