Default User Accounts Backup & Restore

Hi,

I have searched through all the threads but there was no solution or suggestion for the user accounts maint.

I am using Open Source Edition but I found that a thread was talking that it is required to reset the password even using the Network Edition.

I found that I can use "zmprov gga" to get all the user accounts including the hash password. So is there any approach to restore the user account by using such information.

Now I am facing this problem. I want to migrate all the stuff from one Zimbra server to another Zimbra server using diff OS. I got email backup on hand but no idea how to deal with the account. I don't want to tell the user to use the new password.

Thomas

If you can dump the ldap db from the old host, you should be able to set the passwords in ldap directly with an ldap browser or via ldapmodify (google those two topics).
