    Hello!

    Is it possible to send an email to all members of a COS?

    Thanks

    It sure would be handy if a COS would act like a distribution list.

    If you are comfortable with scripting, here's a little Ruby code that would do the trick I think. You would need to create the .eml file first that you want dropped in to each account, and I'm not quite sure if that is the correct way to do it but I was able to create an empty message in my account this way...I'm assuming a correctly formatted .eml file would create a real message. Complete the error checking IF section or remove as needed.

    Code:
    users = `zmprov sa "(zimbraCOSId=COSIDVALUE)"`.split()
    users.each do |user|
      add_message = `zmmailbox -z -m #{user} addMessage /Inbox /path/to/message.eml`
      if add_message.include?("ERROR")
        #DO SOMETHING
      end
    end
    You could do the same thing with SOAP....but I don't know SOAP...yet.
