Question [SOLVED] Access web mail using https protocol

    Hi Forum,
I am newbie in this forum. I already setup ZCS Open Source Edition and everything runs well in Suse 10 Enterprise Server as OS. User can access their e-mail from http protocol as default zimbra's installation. My question :

First, Can I change the default web client access using https protocol, because it would be more secure like administration console (default using https with port 7071)? How?

Second, I tried access administration console but it can't be opened. I already checked my firewall and exclude https server and http server, but it didn't work. Any suggest?

    Thank You

Cool, http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...html#post62754 so we know which exact version your running & therefore what options to give you in the future.

You open the admin console gui by visiting: https:// server.domain.com:7071

So adjust whatever firewall you're talking about accordingly, but common practice is to restrict that port to local LAN access only.

    Hi mmorse,
I already updated my profiles few minutes ago. Thanks for your fast support. Btw It works , my webmail now can be accessing from https protocol (from your suggest, I choose mode - redirect). Anyway thx again for your information that administration console GUI can't be accessed except use local LAN access only
