You created the users on the LDAP server correct?

These are the settings you should have
    Authentication mechanism: External LDAP
LDAP bind DN template: (leave empty)
    LDAP URL: ldap://serverURL:389
    LDAP filter: (&(objectClass=FILTERNAME)(mail=%n))
    LDAP search base: ou=people,dc=example,dc=com
Use DN/Password to bind to external server: No

    Default LDAP issue

    Thanks,

What I'm actually trying to do is connect my outlook to Zimbra LDAP, so my outlook can see the contacts created on Zimbra. I currently configured the Outlook to connect to Zimbra using IMAP.

    Can you help?

You've already been given the answer (last year), use the settings mentioned above by Lynner.

    Hi Phoenix,

The reply he gave connects your Zimbra server to an existing LDAP server (e.g Active Directory, which I already did).
But I decided to apply some of the settings to Outlook, I used the Zimbra IP as the server name, unchecked this " this server requires me to logon" I clicked on more settings, and checked custom base and inserted: " ou=people,dc=mydomain,dc=com".
    This time, the query worked.
Thanks a lot Lynner and Phoenix.
