Group Calendar Sharing

hi,

as we know you can share a calendar with persons or groups but if we add a new member to a group. the member cannot access the calender.

the question is:
Why don't the new member the access to the calendar?
and
When will it be implimented?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you have a calendar thats shared with the group marketing, and you add a new user to the group marketing, then they inherit the rights to that calendar and should be able to mount it and view free/busy schedules if the group has that rights.

Now if you're wondering why the calendar isn't automaticly mounted in their calendar view, some would say this probably shouldn't happen automatically but you can always file a RFE for the option.

Currently as far as I know, there is no way to have group calendars, addressbooks, files, and such mounted automatically. It has to be done manually on each user or scripted via command line.

In my opinion this would be a nice on/off option. Marketing group has marketing calendar, briefcase, and address book automatically added, but they also have the option to manually add Customer Service and Billing Calendars or somethign along those lines. But that's all in my dreams atm.
