[SOLVED] Change account name ramifications?

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but couldn't find anything easily...

For AD integration, I need to change the mail account name for some users. I see that In the Admin console, I can just type in a new name in the Account Name field of on Manage Accounts/General Tab, and click save.

Beyond doing this, are there further steps or ramifications related to changing this value?

Surprisingly, no there isn't. Two things I'd suggest a) try it on a new test account to see what the ramifications are - there should be none; b) make a backup of the individual accounts before you change the name - just to be safe.
