Default Zimbra IM Setup with external Programs.

Im trying to utilize the Zimbra IM in any external program, to refrain from having to keep open the webconsole.

When we used PSi a Jabber Client, were getting a certificate error.

Our cert is reg. by GoDaddy.

Any suggestions as to proper setup or correct program.

I can connect to my ZCS box with Pidgin, using SSL/TLS. I'm using a self-signed cert as well. I don't think I've ever tried PSi before.

With Psi I get a invalid cert as well (Equifax) (or a different message if I try against a self-signed) followed by an XML parsing error no matter what set of options I configure - if you figure it out a trick make a wiki page like these:
Pidgin and Zimbra - Zimbra :: Wiki
Spark and Zimbra - Zimbra :: Wiki
Adium and Zimbra - Zimbra :: Wiki

Are there some experiences using zimbra and psi?

I have successfully added my zimbra account to pidgin xmmp.
But with psi (0.12) i get this error after answering to non valid ca certificate (selfsigned).

Code:
There was an error communicating with the server.
Details: XML-Analyse-Fehler (Parsing-Fehler)
error log from psi console: XML pastebin - collaborative debugging tool

I'm trying to use Psi with Zimbra aswell.
Currently we're running a third part ejabberd server, with all users using psi, but we'd like to strip this ejabberd and use the chat function of Zimbra.

I tried to setup my zimbra account in PSI, but it fails, whereas I got more success using pidgin (on port 5223).

I read this thread, any others but I still get this XML Parsing Error.

Here are the settings I used (on a ZCS 6.0.6, with psi 0.14) :

$ zmprov gacf zimbraXMPPEnabled
zimbraXMPPEnabled: TRUE

Psi Account Tab :
user@MYDOMAIN.com (which is also my email)
(All other tabs are default)

Ports :
I can telnet 5222 and 5223 from client host.

DNS : (mail.MYDOMAIN.com hosts Zimbra, also the MX record of my domain)
Code:
dig _xmpp-client._tcp.MYDOMAIN.com. SRV

; <<>> DiG 9.6.2-P1-RedHat-9.6.2-3.P1.fc11 <<>> _xmpp-client._tcp.MYDOMAIN.com. SRV

Thumbs down

I'm pretty much sure PSI isn't compatible with the IM engine being used by the ZCS.

Don't even bother trying PSI; look to Spark instead. That's what I honestly have to say.

Regards,
