    Default local dns issue

    Hi,

I had setup zcs server in production server with localdns on that

in /etc/resolve.conf, I had put the follwing entries.

    nameserver 10.10.12.1 (localdns server)
    nameserver 202.54.10.2 (primary dns server)
    nameserver 202.54.29.5 (secondary dns server)

    Now,

The firewall administrator, is saying that,

localdns server is trying to access root dns server ip on port 53. which is the policy voilation issue.

He is saying that, it should not contact to root dns server directly

mail are working fine, there is no issue in mails

    Any idea ??????

    Regards,
    chandu

What do you have in your local DNS config files? Also, instead of having the primary and secondary in your /etc/resolv.conf you should define them as forwarders in your local DNS server.
