Which is fine if the email address has not been forged. Bouncing all the time just adds up to more NDRs bouncing around the Internet

Two things re that:
  1. That's not my problem. It's not my responsiility to accept a spammer's mail. It would be great if we could stop the bounces, but it would also be great if the spam just stopped. We don't live in an ideal world.
  2. I've seen several people note that if they bounce some or all their mail back for a period of time, some of the addresses get cleaned off the lists. Not always, but some spammers do actually clean their lists.

It is your problem and responsibility because you are contributing to the increasing spam problem, if the return address is forged you are sending SPAM to another innocent user. Instead of bouncing it you can drop it. Bounce it for long enough and you could get yourself on a black list. What about the poor users that are getting all the junk you're sending them, you think that's the correct or responsible thing to do?

You're making a false assumtion that your bounce is actually going back to a spammer, that has an almost zero chance of being true. Think about it, if it was going back to a spammer then you'd just be confirming that your email address is valid.
