    Default [SOLVED] 5.0.4 -> 5.0.6

    I have not yet upgraded to 5.0.5 [I must have been asleep at the wheel when that update was announced].

    Is it safer to update to 5.0.5 first, or should 5.0.4->5.0.6 directly work well?

    You don't need the intermediate upgrade, you can go straight to the 5.0.6 release.

    Oh, I forgot to add the usual disclaimer - don't forget to take a good backup before you do the upgrade.

    Thanks for the quick reply. Backup in progress. (I'm always surprised by how often people don't backup anything, though I've been told I'm a bit overly paranoid abuot taking backups before even simple operations and keeping backup copies around for years just-in-case...)

    I'm always surprised by 'no backup' as well, paranoid is always good if you want to see your email again.
