    Default Document Sharing?

    Is there a plan at some point to implement document file sharing?

    What I'm wanting is a series of PDF forms that my company uses to be available to all employees. Also we use many word and excel forms. This would be beneficial since all locations as well as those that are on the road or out of state would be able to access critical files.

    Hmm, I think this might be the right feature using the Briefcase. Is there a way that when new users are created they will automatically have some sort of default shared folder?

    I envision a company-wide folder for forms like sick/vaction leave, departments, fax covers, ....

    Sounds like the Briefcase will work for that. If you want to have items automatically added to accounts on creation, you'll have to script that. Here's some examples from my scripts:

    Code:
    zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com createMountpoint --color blue --view appointment "/Company Calendar" company@domain.com "/Calendar"
    zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com createMountpoint --color blue --view contact "/Company Contacts" company@domain.com "/Contacts"

    Playing with it a bit, the shared briefcase fodler seem to work on an individual basis. Could this be done with a group?

    Share it to a distribution list.

    You could do any of the following [account <name> |group <name> |domain <name> |all |public| guest <email> <password>] followed by the permissions like r, rw, rwix, rwixd, rwixda, none, etc.

    r = viewer rights
    rwixd = manager rights

    (r)ead - search, view overviews and items
    (w)rite - edit drafts/contacts/notes, set flags
    (i)nsert - copy/add to directory, create subfolders
    action (x) - workflow actions, like accepting appointments
    (d)elete - delete items and subfolders, set \Deleted flag
    (a)dminister - delegate admin and change permissions

    Vote for Bug 27820. If you plan on generating spreadsheets, you will definitely want this bug resolved.

    Even if you aren't going to generate spreadsheets I sure need you to vote for this - PLEASE! :-)

    If I share it to a distribution list will this get added each time I add a new user to that list? I assume not, but I hope I'm wrong.
