Default Another "deferred" topic

After going through the solutions provided in the forum here and on the wiki as well, nothing changes - my incoming emails are still deferred.

running Zimbra 4 opensource on Centos4.4server
it has been running with no issues for over a year now.

logs show:
Quote:

telnet localhost 7025 shows the welcome screen. same for mail.domain.com

nothing changed in the system, no updates to the OS or to the MTA

please help

I too am getting similar errors:

May 20 04:03:13 zimbra1 postfix/qmgr[3319]: 197FCE6A6E: to=<user3@domain>, relay=none, delay=2226, delays=2226/0.04/0/0, dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: conversation with mail.domain[192.168.10.103] timed out while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)
Zimbra seems to become unresponsive to LMTP requests, the online backup feature of NE would consistently trigger this problem but it occasionally occurs outside of backup windows. It fixes itself after a while.

I've opened a support case for it which has so far been a COMPLETE waste of time.

that doesn't sound too good mate, last time I have posted here with a problem it was resolved by one of the mods in 20 minutes.
Hope Zimbra still has the good people on this forum

hi,

the server is a P4 3.2GHz, 1Gb RAM, 2x SATA HDD in software raid1
loads fo free space on the disks, load on server is minimal - 4 users receiving maybe 3-10 emails in a day

Load doesn't appear to be a problem, it stays under 1 easily, both when the problem is occurring and when things are operating normally.

The machine has 2GB of RAM and it's not using swap so it appears that is also adequate.

I've had some responses from Zimbra support now so I will continue trying to troubleshoot this. If I find out what the cause is I'll report back.
