Question UK Specific: Zimbra Mobile

All,

I am looking to get ZCS NE and would like to make use of ZME. Obviously for a two user setup installing a Blackberry server would be a little overkill, and very expensive, so what are my alternatives ? I know Vodaphone, who I am currently with, has a Blackberry service but whether I can use the connector to hook into it is a different story. How have others achieved this ? I have a Nokia N80 at the moment, so if I have to buy a couple of smartphones that is fine Ideally would prefer Linux based ones so I can sync more easily.

Thoughts ?

If it's only two users you probably want someone offering a hosted zimbra service where you just pay for two mailboxes with mobile access.

You can then use Mail for Exchange on the Nokia to sync with your zimbra account.

Can you not just setup external IMAP access?

I've been pondering over mobile access for a while myself as a number of us in the office have an N95 or a Windows Mobile 5/6 device. Having a read through the wiki page Mobile Device Setup - Zimbra :: Wiki. It seems like it would be something fairly easy to setup.

I am trying to find a Blackberry service where I can then use the connector. Just not many seem to be around Vodaphone appear to offer the service, but need to understand whether the connector will work.

Are you specifically using Blackberry's? As an N80 should be able to connect with the Mail For Exchange app. Then if you have the server set as an address that is accessible externally you should be able to get over-the-air updates.
