"ERROR" zmmailboxdctl is not running

Since Monday when this happens run the command:
> Zmcontrol status
Host x.x.pt
imapproxy Running
logger Stopped
logmysql.server is not running
zmlogswatchctl is not running
mailbox Stopped
zmmailboxdctl is not running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running


Can anyone help me?

Would you please check your Log Files - Zimbra :: Wiki for any error messages.

My release of zimbra :

Release 5.0.4_GA_2101.RHEL4_20080321155827 CentOS4 FOSS edition

- tells me to see the logs? you can show me where the logs to see that?

It would help if you followed-up on your original thread and gave us more information (and some feedback) about the problem you are experiencing, we can't help you if you don't tell us what's in the logs and whether you've tried any of the advice you've been given and what the results were.

My installation is MultiServer (2x MTA and 2x MailStore)

Log Files - Zimbra :: Wiki details where to find them. Have a look through them especially /var/log/zimbra.log and /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log.

Okay, a couple of things to check please :-

1. As root run dmesg on each of the message store servers.
2. Check /opt/zimbra/db/data/srv1.zmail.pt.err for any error messages aswell.

Also, make sure you have a good backup in place aswell.
