Default shared folder mail reply wrong attachment and wrog from adress

hi,

since i set up a shared mailbox, which is accessable for 3 users, i figured out some problems in replying to e-mails recieved for this (shared) mailbox.

my "solution" to use different "From:" adresses (e.g. to use the e-mail adress of the shared folder), i configured "accounts" for each user , who has access to the shared mailbox, within the web client. this worked, somehow and in most cases (i thought)!

when a user tries to reply to a shared folder inbox mail, he can choose which account to use for the answer (his, or the shared folder). today i noticed, that this is being TOTALLY ignored, which means that whatever account i choose, the account originally ment for the shared folder inbox (info@...) is used, not the user account!

adress for received mails which go to the shared folder : info@....
personal adress / user account : <username>@...

it's getting worser when a user tries to answer to an shared folder inbox mail. during the process of composing the answer, attachted files (pdf, txt) are (re)opened correctly. but, the reciepient gets a different attachment! mostly some realy old e-mails (random) as html attachment. this happens if a user answers with his account / idetity AND with the shared folder inbox identity (info@...).

since i found no bug in zimbra bugzilla, i decided to first post my problem here. maybe there is something misconfigured ? today i'm going to update to 5.0.5. if this fixes the problem, i surely post this here!

greetingz
thomas

Have you tried using the 'Persona' feature? Go to the user preferences then Accounts/Add Persona and see if that does what you need.

Of course it's available in the OSS version, log in to a user mailbox then go to the Preferences tab, Accounts tab then Add Persona.

ok, then we both ment the same! this is already done and described above. since i'm using the german version i used the wrong "name", but i meant persona!

i did the upgrade and, after samba and posix things were cleaned out, the upgrade worked flawlessly. but, the problem persists!

any idea?

appendix : after the upgrade, attachment sending "on-behalf-of" works.

the persona problem persists :-(

i also found a bug which kinda covers my problem : 23693

i hope this will get fixed very soon :-)

Hi,
I'm having the exact same problem. Did you hear anything new on that matter?

Cheers!
