Default Permanent change to postfix transport

Hi,

I have another change that needs to survive an upgrade.
I need to add an entry to postfix' transport.
What is the most elegant way to do so?
Create a new transport file and add it to the postfix_tansport_maps entry in locaconfig.xml?

Or what else?

Thanks

Christian

Christian,

Under ZCS 5, we have found some Postfix items in localconfig.xml survive a version upgrade, and others don't.

We don't know why/how, but the good news is that the installer no longer cleans out all files in all directories.

As a result, we now take copies of our changed files as "filename.ours" in their respective directories. After the upgrade, we do a diff of the ZCS-installed file and ours, and make updates accordingly.

Not the answer I know you would have liked, but hopefully that helps somewhat regardless...

All the best,
Mark

Hi Mark,

this idea sounds good. We will try to do this. Thanks.

But anyway. This is an important thing that should be worked on by the Zimbra guys as in some cases this will make upgrades much more work than necessary.
