    Default [SOLVED] "Offline version" link

    We just upgraded from v.4.5.11 to v.5.0.4. In the upper right corner of the Advanced Client is a link to the Zimbra desktop client Web page. How does one remove this link? We support the Web client only right now. Users being directed to this pitch will be confused...

    Locations of values to hide that:
    Should be able to append to the bottom of a css file like /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/css/common.css or in /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/skins/_base/base2/skin.css a style:
    #skin_td_switch_offline{ display:none; }
    or
    switch_to_offline { display:none; }
    Afterwards - restart the server(s) via zmmailboxdctl restart (or even empty the jetty work folder), clear your browser cache, and visit the page again.

    Other locations you may wish to edit:

    /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/skins/_base/base2/skin.html
    /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/tags/infra/view.tag
    <span id="switch_to_offline"><a href="<fmt:message key="switchToOfflineURL"/>" target="_new" ><fmt:message key="switchToOfflineClient" /></a></span>
    /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/classes/messages/ZmMsg.properties(AJAX client)
    setupOfflineAccts = To manage your offline accounts, please visit the \
    switchToOfflineClient = Offline version
    switchToOfflineClientEx = a href='http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html' target='_blank'>Learn about the offline version /a>
    /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/classes/messages/ZhMsg.properties (HTML client)
    switchToOfflineClient = Offline Version
    switchToOfflineURL = http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html
    td class="ZhAppSwitchLink" align="center">span id="switch_to_offline">

    #skin_td_switch_offline,

    Find the line below, and just remove the words Offline Version

    Code:
    switchToOfflineClient = Offline Version

    Thanks, John. The two entries in the style sheets did the trick.

    Hi,

    Above fix does not work for standard HTML version. Doesn't AJAX version and HTML version uses the same common.css?

    Thanks

    I tried the two css changes above, but this also removes the Standard Version link in the Ajax version. Is this expected? Is there an option to keep the Standard Version link, but hide the Offline link?

    EDIT:

    It appears commenting these lines in /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/classes/messages/ZmMsg.properties(AJAX client) is enough:

    setupOfflineAccts = To manage your offline accounts, please visit the \
    switchToOfflineClient = Offline version
    switchToOfflineClientEx = a href='http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html' target='_blank'>Learn about the offline version /a>

    Thanks!
