    Default Spam handling with RBL's

    Hi all

I have some questions about RBL's in combination with Zimbra.
I found on the wiki some examples to enable RBL checks for Zimbra.
But what is the weight of those checks than ? I couldn't find that really, because I don't want that messages are going to be rejected only on the RBL check base, but the combination of the RBL's and other spam checks.

So is it possible to use RBL's but than that it is not the deciding factor if a message 'is' SPAM or not but only to get the score higher, and if the other checks also says it is SPAM than it may removed off course

If you enable the RBLs that just makes the system check them. The relative weight assigned to them is under /opt/zimbra/conf/spamassassin/50_scores.cf. That file is huge so it's a bit of a pain to edit (and to remember all your edits, which is a problem since it gets overwritten every time you upgrade). So what I do is copy the exact syntax of that file, and make a copy of any lines I want to override in local.cf (same directory). Edits to local.cf override the same settings in the other .cf files, and then I have only one file to back up and restore with upgrades.
    Cheers,

    Dan
