Default Restore Contact List

Is it possible to just restore the contact list from a specific backup? We had a sync go wrong and the user's entire contact list is gone and we desperately need to restore all his contacts.

Please help.

If this is NE then you can restore the user mailbox to a new account name. Click on Backups then Restore button, check Select Accounts to restore and enter account name then hit Next and add a prefix to the account name (so you don't overwrite the current account) and hit Next

When the restore has finished open the new account in Admin UI and View the Mail. Export the contacts list as a csv from there and you should have a copy of the users address book.

You should then be able to import the address book into the normal users account, if you're certain the original address book has gone then just import the new one or do an export of the original first (just to be safe). If you've got the addresses you want then you can delete the prefixed copy of the restored account.

Thanks for the response. I was able to restore his account from a backup from March 29th. However, once restored, I see mail from April 11th on the restored_ account. Is that normal?
