Problem with Postfix and MTA

Hi,

my / partion is used up to 23%
(/home is already at 95%, backupdrive at 86%,
but I guess this shouldn't matter).

edit:
Trying to send a mail via the webinterface I get a popup with the following content:

Fehler im Netzwerkdienst msg: system failure: MessagingException
code: service.FAILURE
method: SendMsgRequest

Okay so did this just start happening, or has been like it for a while ? Please post output from

cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig _domain_ mx <- replace domain with your own
dig _domain_ ns <- replace domain with your own
host `hostname` <- note backticks not double quotes

do you have any other errors in /var/log/zimbra.log referring to Postfix ?

Hi,

everything has been working for about 2 weeks after installation and setup.
Since a couple of days sending/receiving mail has stopped working.

Investigated zimbra.log and found the first time the error message appeared

At the beginning of the log the server is booted,
after 10:59:24 the first entry with the error message appeared
(strangly the log reports ~ 09.00 o'clock,
the server wasn't powered up at that time).

I would look at either :-

1) expanding the disk where / is held
2) moving /opt/zimbra to a new mountpoint and soft linking it

Well, the / partition is by now already the biggest
Moving a mail within thunderbird from one mail account to the zimbra account works flawlessly, so I guess it shouldn't be a problem of disk capacity.

However, if I succeed in finding a spare drive,
I will try your suggestion.

Much sought after, I found the problem, the problem is that the postmap was trying to lift a file that was apparently stuck, This is the file that has been giving me problems __db.postfix_header_checks.db
