    Default Restricting incoming SMTP

We have an upstream mail filtering service. I'd like to set Zimbra to only accept SMTP from that services list of servers. How do I do so?

    Default

You could always setup your firewall to only accept SMTP connections from the IP addresses (or IP address range). If you run *nix, use iptables. That would be the easiest and at the "lowest level", even before it hits the Zimbra suite.

    Default Very true.

I know there's a way to do this in postfix, but I didn't know which settings would be overwritten by future upgrades.

So as you suggested I placed the rules in my perimeter firewall. Problem solved.
