Default Problem With Enabling Tasks and Briefcase After Upgrade

Just did an upgrade from 4.5.11 to 5.0.4 (will update profile shortly!)

I enabled Tasks and Briefcase in the COS via the Admin GUI and restarted ZCS.

But, when users log in, no Tasks nor Briefcase tab.

Back to the Admin UI, if I edit the individual account, I see the tick boxes for Tasks and Briefcase are unchecked. If I check them, the UI gives me the "Reset to COS value?" warning. But, having them enabled is the default I thought?

Probably it is just late and I am not thinking clearly, but we'd like not to have to enable these services on a per account basis for all of our existing accounts.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Mark

FWIW I see now the same behavior with themes: the COS shows all the new themes as being available, but the user's individual account settings when set to "limit this user's themes to the COS value" show only the old 4.5.11 themes as checked, though the new ZCS 5 themes are there, they are unchecked.

And checking them generates a warning about deviating from the COS values.

Do I need to reprovision all the COSs or some such?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark

Did you ever solve this and if so how? We're seeing the same issue after upgrading from 5.02 to 5.05.

Cheers,

Marc

Hi Marc,

We solved it by literally checking/unchecking/rechecking all of the appropriate checkboxes in the COS and user accounts which existed prior to our upgrade to version 5.

We were spoiled I think with the seamlessness of all of the previous upgrades we did starting from 4.0.3 through 4.5.11, so I think we were due for at least one slightly-less-than-perfect upgrade.

Hope that helps,
Mark
