Default I'm freaking out here.

I just changed the servername on my testserver IP 10.10.10.11 that was the exact clone of our live server on the net. And guess what happened? Our testserver somehow contacted the REAL server and my ./zmsetservername HAPPENED on the LIVE server!!!

And now it wont change back. Beautifull.

After resetting the IP and name information on the real server I rebooted and did the ./zmsetservername again.

Default ERROR: account.NO_SUCH_SERVER

./zmsetservername results in this...

ERROR: account.NO_SUCH_SERVER (no such server: server17.nimet.info)

It's wierd. I know that I really was on the test server with traceroute before I started messing with the test server.

From now on I'm going to change the passwords in all the test servers.
No more "Identical" testing.

Sam

PS. Found out that my test system had not updated the default gw.
I actually had 2 default gateways at ones. This must have somehow connected me to both the Live server and the Test server.
Don't know how that is possible but I know that when I did "ip a s" it told me I was 10.10.10.11. Not the Public Live address.

Default

One whole workday waisted on this. Its up and running again. Now all I have to do is salvage the old mails from the VMwares disk image and copy them to the old server. Not today. On monday.

Weekends.

Hi, I have the same problem! So how did you manage to resolve this? My question was posted here: How to re-configure Cloned Zimbra?
