    Exclamation Virtual Mapping

    Dear Sir

we are using zimbra 5.0.1 for out corporate mail server with ubuntu 7.10 OS.we are maintaining more than 7 locations using this server.for each and every location we use only one domain.Ex-:domain.com

we decided create a new zimbra mail server with same Hardware and software configuration for ex- location number 2.and all the mails with in this location should route that mail server.as a domain name for location 2 decide as loc.domain.com .Ex-: test@loc.domain.com

all the mails within loc.domain.com domain should route location 2 zimbra mail server and rest of the mails should route domain.com corporate mail server.

please guide me how to handle this on zimbra using nay virtual user mapping method.

Did you create a full new Zimbra server or did you add it to the existing one ?

If you add it to the existing one, you can (through AdminUI) setup two different CoS (one for domain.com and one for loc.domain.com) and then "lock" the CoS to a specified server ("Server Pool" tab).

If you created a full new server, you now have two MTA and should correctly setup DNS to route domain.com mails to one server and loc.domain.com to another one (two zones, one MX per zone).

    Exclamation Vitual Mapping

    Dear Sir

we are using full new server DNS setup correctly.
My problem is how we route all my mail route requirement using H/O server to branch server.

the branch user cannot see any loc.domain.com and branch mail should not go to H/O mail server.any other mails shold come to H/O mail server.

    How we do this.

If both domains are on the same LDAP tree then something like this works to have autocomplete work between the two domains:
    Config for domain.com
    Code:
    GAL mode:
    Both
Most results returned by GAL search:
    100
    Server type:
    LDAP
    LDAP filter:*
    (&(|(cn=*%s*)(sn=*%s*)(gn=*%s*)(mail=*%s*)(zimbraMai lDeliveryAddress=*%s*)(zimbraMailAddress=*%s*))(|( objectclass=zimbraAccount)(objectclass=zimbraDistr ibutionList)))
    Autocomplete filter:
    externalLdapAutoComplete
    LDAP search base:
    dc=loc.domain.com,dc=com
    LDAP URL:
    ldap://127.0.0.2:389
    and config for loc.domain.com
    Code:
    GAL mode:
    Both
Most results returned by GAL search:
    100
    Server type:
    LDAP
    LDAP filter:*
    (&(|(cn=*%s*)(sn=*%s*)(gn=*%s*)(mail=*%s*)(zimbraMai lDeliveryAddress=*%s*)(zimbraMailAddress=*%s*))(|( objectclass=zimbraAccount)(objectclass=zimbraDistr ibutionList)))
    Autocomplete filter:
    externalLdapAutoComplete
    LDAP search base:
    dc=domain.com,dc=com
    LDAP URL:
    ldap://127.0.0.2:389
However if the servers have no idea that the other exists you will have to wait till somebody more versed in multi server setups can answer your question.
