Can't add mailbox - gives error

Hi, after doing a restore from our backup i couldn't find couple of my mailboxes. I try to add them via the admin panel and i couldn't. Then i try to add them from the command line zmprov gives the error below ;

prov> ca edibe.guler@...... 123456
ERROR: account.ACCOUNT_EXISTS (account already exists: edibe.guler@...)

I searched the forum and find the following thread ;

I looked at the mysql tables and i can see them on table ;

mysql zimbra -e 'select * from mailbox where comment like "edibe%"'

gives me the account.

Now i can't neither add nor delete the account with ca or da from the zmprov.

What should i do?

After you performed the restore were there any error messages in the Log Files - Zimbra :: Wiki , and are there any errors showing now ?

Here is the list;

1 - Take the whole /opt/zimbra directory while the Zimbra is stopped
2 - Do a clean OS install
3 - Do a clean Zimbra install with the same version we took the backup
4 - Stop Zimbra and remove the whole /opt directory
5 - Untar the /opt/zimbra to the new server
6 - Start the Zimbra

Many of the mailboxes are working seamlessly. But some of them, well, i already described.

Then we need to see if there are any error message in your logfiles (linky above) to understand what is happening please.

I follow the link you have given. Those files are really big in size and i can't decide which'll be usefull for you to look. Which log files should I send? Should I grep something out of those log files? Can you lead me?

- just interested in items since you performed the upgrade.

For my local user who has bounced 'edibe.guler', i made the following tests ;

[zimbra@mail ~]$ zmprov
prov> da edibe.guler@.....
ERROR: account.NO_SUCH_ACCOUNT (no such account: edibe.guler@.....)
prov> ca edibe.guler@..... 123456
ERROR: account.ACCOUNT_EXISTS (account already exists: edibe.guler@...)

[zimbra@mail ~]$ mysql zimbra -e 'select id,group_id,comment from mailbox where comment like "edibe%"'

| 247 | 47 | edibe.guler@..... |

I just want to recreate that account and the others that are in the same situation.

maybe a corruption in LDAP so this may help http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...-solution.html

remember to take another backup though beforehand !

I appreciate your help. I'll try that fix after 6:00 pm since the other mailboxes working already and let you know what happened.
