I am unable to run zmfixperms (permission denied). I am thinking the ownership of all the files and folders in the /opt/zimbra folder is the issue. Should should the zimbra folder and contents be owned by zimbra account?

Hi,
Please execute zmfixperms as root. This ensures that the permissions can be set correctly.
Thank you for your reply. I had continued to work on this issue and just completed zmfixperms as root just before the email. While in class two weeks ago, I understood that all ZM* commands are run as "zimbra account" which is why I attempted to run this script in the same fasion. This script has restored my access to Mail Queue in Admin console now.
I need to have all email sent from Zimbra email server to another user on the same Zimbra server to be directly sent to mailbox without use of internet MX record (for security reasons our firewall does not allow packets to be sent from behind the firewall to come back in through firewall). In current configuration, emails are sent via internet MX and is denied access.
For correct delivery of email you need DNS A & MX records plus a correct /etc/hosts file, if you are behind a NAT router you'll need a Split DNS set-up.
Regards
Bill
