Default Web client just slowed to a crawl

We're running Zimbra 5.02. it has been running fine for over a month. Then today at about 3:30pm the web client slowed to a crawl. Logging in now takes about 10 minutes and even if you do get logged in you can't do anything except logout. Everything else results in a "Server busy" or some such error. I've tried from different PC's and with different clients, and all are acting the same.

The weird part is that the Administration web client works just fine. Also all POP and IMAP clients are also working fine.

    Default more info

I should add that I have rebooted Zimbra and the server. The server is running Centos 5. The web client type doesn't matter - you can select advanced, standard, or mobile - they are all slow. I've been looking through the logs but so far have not found anything that would help locate the problem.

How about some info on what the specification of your server is and what else is running (how about 'top') on it. Which version (NE or OSS) and which release of Zimbra is this?
    Regards

I have been watching this problem for awhile now and I've noticed that the problem seems to happen in the web browser being used. I have about 25-30 users on Zimbra 5.0. Each of them has a different preferred browser, some Firefox, some IE6, and IE7. It seems that any of those browsers can slow to a crawl, where logging in can take 5-10 minutes. And after logging in it can take 5 minutes to go from one page to another. If that same user on the same PC just switches browsers, the problem goes away. For some users that have switched browsers, after awhile the problem happens with the second browser, and then they can't user either one. I have not yet found a way to clear the problem in a particular browser and machine. Clearing the cache doesn't work. On my machine, both IE 6 and Firefox developed the problem. So I installed Safari and now use it to access Zimbra.

This is only for the web interface to Zimbra. The POP3 and IMAP clients work fine.

The client OS's are all either Windows XP or 2000.

Did you ever find a solution to this, I'm experiencing a similar problem whereby my users that are on the web client are finding things extremely slow.

No, I never did find a solution. The problem seemed to go away after I upgraded to 5.0.6.
