Thumbs up Same problem with self-signed certificates

I had a problem when I reissued an outdated certificate. Simply the old certificate remained in the trusted database and I received a code -9813 error when I tried to reinstall the calendar (the old entry was unhelpful and laconic saying it simply could not work).

I used Safari to access my Zimbra SSL site, instructed to accept the certificate permanently in all instances (instead of just go ahead when the message appears, you should press "show certificate", or something similar), after two or three attempts it was correctly registered and my webdav account reappeared automagically.

Hope this helps. I understand a lot of people has the same problem with self-signed SSL certificates. Other have solved by installing a signed certificate, but I do not need one and it is not worth the money to my limited needs.

Hi!

Well, I'm new to Zimbra and this forum, but I had exactly the same issue. I'm running the open-source version in redirect mode with self-signed cert.

So what I did was open the webmailer via Safari and accepted the cert permanently, like carlo.piana mentioned. But still no luck at all. So I opened the KeyChain Management, double-clicked the cert and again manually set it to trust it permanently.

EUREKA! now it works!

So thanks to carlo.piana. He knew the trick.

Greetings from Germany.
