you have to reload the postfix conf, in zimbra you would at least have to restart the zimbra mta (zmmtactl* ?), I guess. Because zimbra has to run all the config scripts...

    contents of postfix_header_checks.in below:
(This is a brand new install, so the only thing I have added is the ignore line)

    %%uncomment VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension%%/filename=\"?(.*)\.(%%list VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension |%%)\"?$/
%%uncomment VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension%% REJECT For security reasons we reject attachments of this type
    %%uncomment VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension%%/^\s*Content-(Disposition|Type).*name\s*=\s*"?(.+\.(%%list VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension |%%))"?\s*$/
%%uncomment VAR:zimbraMtaBlockedExtension%% REJECT Attachment type not allowed. File "$2" has the unacceptable extension "$3"
    echo "/^Received: from localhost/ IGNORE" > header_checks

you put the shell command into "header_checks", the line should be:
    /^Received: from localhost/ IGNORE

Hmmm, okay, so I think all you need is :-

    Code:
    /^Received: from localhost/ IGNORE
in the file, and then :-

    Code:
    zmmtactl stop ; zmmtacl start

/opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/header_checks gets re-written so it will need to go in postfix_header_checks.in.

sorry about that. I am new to zimbra and postfix!! Changing the ignore line in the file did nothing after a zmmtactl stop ; zmmtacl start command.

please post the content of "postfix_header_checks.in" again, and after a zmmtactl stop/start, post the contents of /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/header_checks too.

according to the files posted, you should not have any "Received: from localhost ..." lines in your headers, don't you?

    regards
