Question External GAL & Select Addresses

Hi,

I am currently using Zimbra 5.0.2_GA_1975.UBUNTU6 UBUNTU6 FOSS edition, which is running great.

I was using the internal GAL initially, but am now using Active Directory for the GAL exclusively since we are using alias/canonical address as the main address for our users.

When composing a new email and clicking the "To:" button, using internal GAL, the list is automatically pre populated with all users but now when using the external GAL the list is no longer pre populated. To display all users in external GAL, a search of "*" will display everyone.

Is there a way to pre populate "Select Addresses" box with all users in the external GAL like how it works with the internal GAL. We have less than 50 users, so I don't think it should have any performance issues.

Just to be clear the external GAL works perfectly otherwise eg auto complete works great.

Thanks for listening!

bumping this - im also experiencing this...
just configured external ldap for our gal (using "both" though)
and when you click to: or attendees: - the list is blank, with the spinnign "wheel" on the top left of the dialog box.. until you enter a search term (like @ or * or something) then the list populates...

this is a pretty annoying "feature".. any way to fix this?
