How to make entries in the global address book?

Hello,

I see that bug #6355 is listed as fixed, however, I'm still unclear on how to get Zimbra to auto-fill email addresses of non-Zimbra users. For example, I wanted to send an email to multiple people who are on our distribution lists and I want their names and email addresses to auto-fill. Is there a way to do this without using an external directory such as Active Directory?

Is there some point to those two comments? Both of the bug reports mentioned in this thread have resolved and are in released versions of Zimbra. If you have a problem or question it would be more helpful if you actually stated what you're problem is.

I did notice they were resolved as noted in my post, however, what is the resolution? I can't seem to find a resolution listed anywhere?

So the only way to have a global address book with external addresses of business contacts, etc. is to have an account with a shared address book or an external LDAP/AD database?

What if im out of the office and dont have access to LDAP directory?
