[SOLVED] Two domains sharing the same users on one server

Hi,

I was a server running sendmail with two domains pointed to it, so my users can receive emails to domain1.com and domain2.com.

I'm trying the same with my zimbra box running latest 5.0 version.

domain1.com
domain2.com

On the Administration site I've added a virtual domain to domain1.com called domain2.com. I'm sending emails from gmail to user@domain2.com and I'm getting this error message on the logs (I've replaced the real domain with domain2.com):

I've done with the following settings:

1.- Add a new domain called domain2.com
2.- Crate one alias for each user from @domain2.com to @domain1.com

It works, but I've to create one alias for each user

Welcome to the forums,
You can also implement your above solution faster if you'd like using these methods: ManagingDomains - Zimbra :: Wiki
Though using your method (adding individual aliases) they can pick between either e-mail addresses to send from.
You can also set it via CLI if you want to script it faster with the zimbraMailAlias attribute.
With zmprov it's addAccountAlias:

zmprov aaa user@domain.com alias@domain.com

It doesn't sound like it, but if you're still making use of the sendmail box (ie 2 boxes): Split Domain - Zimbra :: Wiki
(& I doubt you'll still want it once you fix the routing using the split domain article, but the way you might have been handing off mail before could have looked like a relay: ZimbraMtaMyNetworks - Zimbra :: Wiki)

Creating a Domain Alias

If you have a domain domain.com and you want the domain example.com to be an alias for it, so that sending mail to user@example.com is the same as sending mail to user@domain.com (delivered to the same mailbox), you can designate example.com as a domain alias when creating the domain. This example assumes domain.com already exists, but example.com does not.

zmprov cd example.com zimbraDomainType alias zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @example.com zimbraMailCatchAllForwardingAddress @domain.com

You can delete the alias using zmprov almost the same way as it was created. From your example, it'll look something like this:

zmprov dd example.com
