    Default Briefcase Icons

    Hi,

we are using the Briefcase with different filetypes (.doc,.xls,.pdf .html etc.). But only for the PDF a correct file icon is shown.

All other files are only displayed with a "?" symbol. Any ideas? Is that as it should be?

    Thanks
    Martin

    the version we use is:
    5.0.2GA
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 x86_64

Same Issue here on ZCS 5.0.1 OS *except* that the reverse seems to be happening-PDF Docs show '?' in Briefcase and MS Docs show correct icon...Odd

Are both of you using FOSS? Are you sure your system is indexing them properly?

    Do they have proper extensions?

    Using,
    ZCS Version: Version 5.0.1_GA_1902.openSUSE_10.2.FOSS
All files have the correct .pdf extension.
Not sure what you mean by:
Are you sure your system is indexing them properly?
Could you provide additional detail on this?
    Thanks!

I wonder if it's related not to Firefox 3 beta and ZCS 5.0.5 RHEL 64bit.

Actually, I'm hitting the very same issue (even worse) since I'm using FF3 (but only on my NE 64 bits server, no problem on the OSS 32 bits)...

Old mails have correct icons and correct attachment behaviour (clicking on the PDF gets the associated application to launch and display the content).

New mails (sent by me with FF3) have a broken attachment icon (earth with blank page) and broken PDF handling : "garbage" (binary content) downloaded and shown in the window instead of launching the application.

It's the same with PDFs put in the briefcase.

Behaviour is the same with "standard" upload or "DnD" upload...

    Me again.

A friend of mine just tried with his FF3 b5 on the same servers.
No problem at all for him.

    So it's not FF3 b5 related but FF3 add-on related...

I've removed (not disabled, removed) all add-ons but the English dictionnary and now it's running nicely.

I'll try to discover which Add-on was not nice.

    A bit later
Running OK with AdBlockPlus and Zimbra DnD
Still running OK with AdBlockPlus and Zimbra DnD and Firebug 1.1
