    Default Clear text login

I'm need to run a script that requires clear script login, my only concern is that we are set up for encrypted login for most accounts. If I enable clear text login, will the server ONLY accept clear text, or is that just an option.

It's just an option, but it's an option for everybody. You need to be careful not to set up clients to use clear text or you've compromised security. Of course, if you have your server behind a firewall (recommended) then you can also block non-ssl ports from anywhere except the machine running that script (which I hope is ALSO behind the firewall?) and it'll provide you some protection.

Perfect, yeah I'm running this from the actual machine. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't require external clients to use clear text to access their email. Thanks for the quick response.
