Default zimbra with 2 ip-addresses (relay)

We have one zimbra setup that has 2 ip-adresses.
We want to use one only for relaying and one for webmail and real zimbra use.
That way I hope to prevent that the server-IP comes on a blacklist because of relay abuse.

2 machines would be perfect, but my boss gives me only one

Can this be done in postfix/zimbra ?
Can someone give me some hints.

    Regards,

    Johan

You don't need two IP addresses, a mail server can relay mail via one IP.

    yes
but when this ip becomes blocked by a blacklist, the whole server is blocked.
Other serveres within the range who use it cannot relay anymore and users who use the server as there end mailserver cannot use it anymore.

Why would your IP get blacklisted, are you a spammer?

There's almost no reason for any 'normal' fixed IP to get blacklisted. If the client is really that bothered they can always relay mail through their ISPs mail servers.

This is in a datacenter. No relaying is possible so they have to setup their own relayserver...

If you have full access to this machine I would just setup a virtual machine to act as a SMTP server to be the relay.
