Default Emails with attachments being deferred

I'm having a lot of trouble with emails with attachments. Sometimes when we receive them they get put into the deferred queue. Following is the output from mailbox.log when this happens:

So far when this has happened the messages have cleared eventually (after a day or two) but this delay is causing a lot of problems. I have indexing of attachments disabled (otherwise I couldn't get this far). Any ideas what I can do to ensure proper delivery of email?

    Thanks,

    Mike Chapman

    Default

This happened again today with three messages:

The first contained a few .dwg and one .pdf file. The total messages size (from /opt/zimbra/store/incoming/*.msg) is 4,148,525 bytes.

The second email again contained a few dwf files as well as a .pdf. The total message size is 6,213,899 bytes.

The third stuck email contains one .pdf and one .dwg file. The total messages size is 9,405,752 bytes.

The annoying part is that I have turned off attachment indexing in the admin console (unchecked the box under Class of Service/default/Advanced/Attachment Settings). Any idea why this could be happening?

    Thanks,

    Mike Chapman

This would depend on the maximum file upload size and maximum message size, neither of you have mentioned what your settings are.

    My limits are as follows:

    zimbraFileUploadMaxSize: 9437184
    zimbraMtaMaxMessageSize: 10485760

All of the messages that I am having trouble with are below these limits. With a little playing around it looks like when I send emails that are above these limits from an external client zcs rejects them immediately rather than putting them in the deferred queue.

    Thanks for your help,

    Mike Chapman
