Hi there, me again.
Today as I sit and work I get a pop-up from Outlook that Zimbra cannot authenticate me. It is asking for my name and password again.
I put them in, thinking Outlook is just stupid.
Nope, doesn't work.
I close Outlook and attempt to login to the Zimbra Administration webUI like I have done a thousand times... nope. It tells me I am unable to authenticate. Logging to the regular mail interface also throws an error at me that my username or password is incorrect.
I am quite upset at this, since I am the administrator now I cant read my email OR manage my server.
I restart Zimbra.
Still same problem. I use "zmprov gaaa" and see that my account is there, same is it ever was. I run "zmprov sp myemailhere mypasswordthere" and it accepts this.
I still can't login to either interface.
Just as I am about to open a support ticket and have fnished looking through the forum and the wiki, Outlook pops up that I have new Email.
WHA!? I login to the admin panel and it works fine, Outlook / Zimbra / Thunderbird are all working now.
I don't get how Zimbra first decided my password was wrong, and then after changing it took upwards of 15 minutes before it appears to have accepted the change... perhaps a related symptom?
Anyway, there is something bad wrong here.
Anybody have a clue what just happened?
