The news is that it is currently scheduled for the next but one major release of Zimbra, don't forget to vote for the RFE (mentioned above) in bugzilla - the more votes the more likely it is to be included but there's no guarantees.

Hello,

don't know if this is a bit off-topic, but I have put an IFrame-tag in my home tab definition and show a default page for all users.

What I would like to do is to customize this page on a user by user basis.

Can I somehow pass the user-id (e.g. email address) to the iframe? (for example as GET-parameter.)
Also, can I run custom JavaScript in the hometab? I'd like to code sth. more dynamic.

Sure, just look at the examples in the zimbra directory.

To make the home portal work (sorta) in the AJAX web client you need to:

1) Install the com_zimbra_html zimlet from experimental.
2) Enable the use of said zimlet for the user.

Voila, it updates. com_zimbra_rss was nowhere to be found though...

Where is this "examples" directory? Looking in /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra and /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/mobile. Can you/someone be a little more specific?

[EDIT] i think i might have find it? In /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/tags but not sure how to use either the code located in these files or the files themselves.[/EDIT]

There isn't an 'examples' directory, I'll take a stab and guess he meant 'take a look at the examples in the zimlets directories under /opt/zimbra'. You could also take a look in the 'experimental' zimlets directory mentioned in the post above yours.

Hey boys and.. girls,
Any updates on this one ? Some samples perhaps if someone can share ?

I've managed to get some JSP working, but I would like to get some more functionality...

Best regards,
Alex R.
