Default 404 error downloading

Clicking on download link on Yet Another Backup Script for Zimbra Community Edition GroupWare Server*-*Open Source Office Lösungen displays a 404 error for http://www.osoffice.biz/downloads/zmbac.sh.gz.

Is the script on the page the current?

Default Updated version of the script

Nobody replied to my previous post and also needed to install the script on a CentOS (Redhat) server, so I've made the following changes to the script:
  1. Split the script into multiple segments
  2. Added a install script for CentOS (incomplete)
  3. Added parameter for only performing rsync, because this works better with our backup process based on rsnapshot
I have uploaded the changes to SourceForge.net Repository - [cahaya-hubung] Index of /trunk/etc/script/zimbra.

The Fold - About post #80, 07-28-2008, 04:48 AM. Did you find a solution to this problem. I experience the same thing. A work around is to set the size larger to fit all the data in one dar file.

The solution would be to fix the code for the "if [ -e $FILENAME ]" line. The previous line FILENAME='ls -A ...F"*' returns multiple filenames as there are more than one dar file. Then the if statement fails, it does not have anything to do with the OS version (Fedora/Ubuntu/RedHat). Maybe add a 'For' statement, but I think this problem is propagated in latter sections of the code, so I think requires an expert in bash to fix it.

Maybe there is an updated version with the fix, but the author seems that is no longer supporting it.

Lightbulb Looks like withOUT support(bug fix) for this sxcript

I'm new with zimbra, check the wiki for backup script and decided to check this one.

root@zimbra:/opt/zimbra# cat /opt/zimbra/DATE_VERSION.txt
04-August-2009
Release 5.0.16_GA_2921.UBUNTU8_64 UBUNTU8_64 FOSS edition

So, this script does not work for big zimbra installations:
Quote:
/etc/zmbac.sh: line 837: [: too many arguments
31_Zimbra_Backup_04-August-2009_FULL.1.dar
31_Zimbra_Backup_04-August-2009_FULL.2.dar
31_Zimbra_Backup_04-August-2009_FULL.3.dar
31_Zimbra_Backup_04-August-2009_FULL.4.dar not found!
This should not happen

Diff Backup started at: 04:11
/etc/zmbac.sh: line 996: [: too many arguments
I'm not good in bash scripting, but this is too obvious for me.
This is not the way you can menage more than 1 dar file
- line 836/837
- line 863/865

Please, if there is someone good i bash scripting, make it working .

Anyway, I will test it again with large enough "ARCHIVESIZE" (line 71)
to create only 1 file.

30_Zimbra_Backup_28-July-2008_FULL.1.dar
30_Zimbra_Backup_28-July-2008_FULL.2.dar
30_Zimbra_Backup_28-July-2008_FULL.3.dar not found!
This should not happen
Although when I checked the folder /opt/backup/zimbra_dars the file it says it can't find is there

Exclamation I have to apologize

Sorry for the problem you are having with the script. This is due to the fact that the copy on the wiki is, i think the first version with added bug, sorry I will remove it from the wiki if possible.

I will attach a working version of the script which has been contributed and nicely updated by Quentin Hartman of Concentric Sky. Big thanks for your work done on the script, and most of all for sharing it afterwards!!

i have also attached the script to this post

I will have to find a spot on the net to host the script again and will then post new upcoming version there....

Cheers
Heinz

Heinzg - Please post in this thread the link to the new host when ready.

Thanks

By the way I am using your script because it fits my needs and the other scripts do not. I hope the new version stayed backward compatible with the old version.

I downloaded the script zmback_v.0.5 and open the file succesfully.

But inspecting the section that is causing the error for multiple dar files I see that is still the same, so the script still does not handle succesfully multiple dar files.

Cordially
Jose

can you be a bit more specific about the problem and usage of the script... maybe post the config section so i try it on my side.
