Zimbra Calendar reminders

I have been frustrated with the lack of support with Zimbra Toaster not supporting calendar reminders - how silly is this?

Anyway I have experimented with Zimbra and Mozilla Sunbird's remote calendar (it supports popup reminders) - however I can't seem to override the events not having reminders set.

Has anyone had success with any program popping up zimbra calendar reminders in a window that actually grabs focus on the desktop.
