RHES4U3: Upgrade from 4.5.5 to 5.0.2

Hello,

I have a two-node Red Hat ES 4 Cluster running with the ZCS-NETWORK-4.5.5_GA_838.RHEL4.tgz code release (June '07). This cluster is a single-node cluster (meaning one ACTIVE node with all services running on it, including LDAP and MTA,etc and one PASSIVE standby node). I am planning on going to zcs-NETWORK-5.0.2_GA_1976.RHEL4.20080130204528.tgz code release. Please, point me to all the appropriate documents needed to complete this task. Also, this will be done on the production environment, i need to be sure it goes smooth. Please, advice on all the necessary steps i have to take to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Cluster documentation can be found in the support portal.
The docs are currently being revised for 5.0.x, however you should still get on 4.5.11 first following the 4.5.x docs.

Are you saying that I CANT go from 4.5.5 to 5.0.2 release in one hop? I could consider going to 5.0.0 (its a one man show here + plus we have just web support for production). I am new to the whole Zimbra environment, so i am trying to be as cautious as possible during this upgrade. Also i found the "single server cluster upgrade" document, will this be sufficient for this task?

I believe that the clustering upgrade process to 5.0.2 still needs to be finalized - when it's ready the docs will be posted in the support portal.
Hence my suggestion to get to 4.5.11 in the meantime - you should anyways
Current 5.0.2 release notes read:

Installing the clustering feature has been integrated with the install and upgrade functionality of ZCS for 5.0.0. We are currently working on an upgrade procedure to enable clustered hosts to move from 4.5.x to 5.0.0 and it will be available shortly. Important: Do not attempt a cluster upgrade using ZCS Cluster upgrade documentation for 4.5. Contact Support for information.
