    Exclamation Zimbra mail Backup

    Dear Sir

    we are using zimbra open source package for our mail transaction.we wand to know proper solution to backup db,store and index folders real time to next backup machine.is their any method to take online backup system for zimbra.

    IMHO online backups are only available in the NE version of Zimbra. If using LVM you could perform a mirror/split to copy the data to another server, but as the process will still be running at the point of splitting the LV data may be inconsistent.

    There are some options for backing-up the OSS version of Zimbra, they are detailed in these wiki articles. They do, however, require the Zimbra server to be offline while the backup runs. As uxbod mentioned, a full backup solution is available with the Network Edition version of Zimbra.
