    Question [SOLVED] Multi-Server Install question

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum. After making the internet investigation I chose the Zimbra to makes some tests with...

I am trying to configure a multi-server environment with the open source edition. I have the first server up and running (all components installed).

When I tried to add a second store server the install script does not give me the option to apply the changes (all *** filled)... - only to exit without saving...

Is it possible to have a distributed environment with the open source edition? If yes, what am I doing wrong?

I would appreciate it if someone helps me.

    Thank you in advance.

That would most likely indicate that you haven't fully completed the LDAP configuration -- I.e., you specified a different host as the ldap master, and the client system you are configuring cannot "talk" to it. You need to carefully read what the menu says, as this is not always obvious.

Yes, you can have a multi-server environment with the open source system. You just can't benefit from the Network Edition features of clustering and high-availability.. but you can have multiple MTA's, mailbox servers, and ldap servers.
