Default Password Encrypted ZIP files

I know that there is already a thread regarding password encrypted ZIP files...

This is a little different request...
First: I do not necessarily want to turn off the feature in Zimbra that blocks password encrypted ZIP files...
Second: The file being sent must be encrypted...

As part of a process, a password protected ZIP file is being generated and is sent to the receipent...

The password is ALWAYS the same in every password protected ZIP file.

Is there a way that the KNOWN password can be used within Zimbra so the anti-virus process can still check the ZIP file?

Or is there a way that a specific user can be granted the right to send password protected ZIP files?

I guess since nobody has responded to this message, I can assume that it is not possible to give Zimbra a password to check the zipfile with and allow it to scan the file...

So I guess the only solution is to disable the "feature" and let any password protected zip file thru, including the ones that contain viruses...

If nobody responds to your question you might try finding a forum more specific to what you are looking for. In this case it is the amavis (+clamav?) part of the zimbra system as this is the spam filtering and antivirus handling component. Unfortunately a quick google search doesn't turn up too much information...

There a few things in bugzilla that might perk your interest:
Bug 19713 - Password protected archives are always blocked
Bug 2419 - Client doesnt support encrypted attachments (s/mime or smime)
(Though there was a little confusion on the purposes of them when they were opened.)

is there a way to allow encrypted files from a specific sender? i've tried adding them to the whitelist via amavisd.conf and using read_hash on a file, but the archive is still blocked. as with the other user in this post the file cannot be sent unencrypted. any suggestions?
